What Is A Contrite Heart?

Baker A contrite heart, a broken heart, a humble heart, these are just different ways of saying the same thing, but they can also have different meanings and it's important to understand the difference, so as to avoid confusion. What is a contrite heart? What is true humility in the Bible sense? I've heard Christians pray God break me and make me into what you want me to be. I understand what they are saying, but when you look at the Word of God, you see that God wants a whole vessel that can be used unto His honor. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our redemption. He died so that we can be whole spirit, soul, and body. A broken water pitcher won't hold water, and can't be used for the masters use. So my question is, what is true...

But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest. The disciples were always arguing over who should be called the greatest among them, but God sees things from a different perspective, not necessarily the way we see ourselves. What Is Precious To God

Baker We often look at things a certain way, or we may form opinions based on our own experiences, however, we must know and realize God knows all things and looks at things differently than we do. He has all knowledge and the wisdom to properly use that knowledge. The things He considers important we may not, so we have to take His word for it, when He says something is a certain way, then it is. What He calls precious, is precious. The Word tells us that the blood of Jesus is precious.  Peter said in; 1 Peter 1:7. that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
